Originally from Rio Grande City, TX, Yvonne Cantu currently resides in Mission, TX.
Yvonne received her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology in 2013 from University of Texas – Pan American. Her goal, ultimately, was to venture into the world of rehabilitation and therapy.
She began her professional career as an Elementary School teacher with the RGCCISD from 2014-2016. During this time, Yvonne was able to dedicate time and resources towards achieving her goal.
Yvonne received her Associates of Applied Science in Physical Therapy Assistant in 2018 from South Texas College. She began her career in the inpatient rehabilitation setting prior to finding her home here at The Marquez Robotic Orthopedic Institute where’s she’s been since 2019.
Yvonne is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Texas Physical Therapy Association. She has attended multiple Annual Conferences furthering her knowledge in orthopedics, sports medicine/return to sport, and pre/post joint replacement rehabilitation.
She enjoys researching latest treatment strategies, current protocols, and applying an aggressive approach focused on returning patients back to their lives in much better shape than they arrived. She remains an avid believer in empowering her patients to take back their health by optimizing their movements.
