DR. RAUL MARQUEZ

Dr. Marquez has done more for his community and his patients than just serve as a physician. He is an entrepreneur, involved in the region’s economic development, building medical and health facilities designed to accommodate and facilitate his patient’s lifestyles. He is best known for his involvement in new technology, developing and designing new devices that benefit patients.
In 1999, Dr. Marquez designed and patented his own mobile bearing knee implant known as RAM Mobile Bearing Knee. Currently, he serves as an international instructor (USA, Germany, and Latin America) for the use of computer and robotic technology and is working with reputable orthopedic engineers improving and modifying navigation techniques. The new technological devices improve clinical outcomes and provide a higher level of accuracy and safety.
Dr. Marquez was born and raised in Mexico City. He received his M.D. in medicine at the University of La Salle and completed his internship at the American British Cowdray Hospital, Mexico City, in 1978. He finished his Fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery/Spinal Cord Monitoring at the University of Ottawa in Canada and completed his residency training in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Toronto, Canada in 1986.
